TERI DULHANIA

Chapter 1

Shehnaaz Gill, whom everyone lovingly called Sana, was a 24-year-old Punjabi girl who had come from her village to the city with only one dream — to become an actress.

She had left her village behind and come to chase her dreams. She had no big name, no strong connections and no experience like the established actresses. Even her English was very weak. She was a little innocent, a little crazy and often behaved like a complete jhalli girl, but she never gave up on her dream.

For Sana, acting was not just a dream anymore. It had become her life.

After struggling for a long time, she finally got a chance to work in a new film.

The film was called Teri Dulhania.

It was a big production, and the lead actress was Riya Singh.

Sana, however, had only been given a side role — she was playing Riya's friend.

For someone else, it might have been a small role.

For Sana, it was everything.

She stood quietly on the film set, watching everyone work around her.

Riya was getting ready for her scene while the people around her were busy with the production.

An assistant came toward Riya and said,

“Ma'am, your role is very big. You just have to give your best. I know you are very talented. You'll do great.”

Riya smiled confidently.

Sana stood a little away from them, watching everything silently.

She looked at Riya and then at herself.

For a moment, a thought crossed her mind.

“Kaash... main bhi itni badi actress ban jaun.”

She imagined herself standing in Riya's place one day.

A big role.

A big name.

People respecting her.

People knowing her.

She smiled softly.

She knew she still had a long way to go.

But she was ready to struggle.

---

At the same time, there was another world completely different from Sana's.

A world of power, money and success.

At the center of that world was Siddharth Shukla.

Siddharth was 32 years old and the CEO of Shukla Enterprises.

He was tall, handsome, sharp and extremely disciplined.

He was known for being very strict about work.

For him, there was no excuse for carelessness.

When Siddharth was in the office, everyone worked carefully.

Employees hurried from one place to another.

Files were checked again and again.

People whispered,

“Quick! Sir has called for us.”

“Finish this quickly.”

“He is in the office.”

There was always a certain tension whenever Siddharth was around.

He didn't need to shout.

His presence alone was enough to make everyone serious about their work.

His P.A., Karan, was the person who handled most of his schedule and meetings.

One day, Karan entered Siddharth's office.

“Sir, the meeting is ready.”

Siddharth looked up.

“Okay. You go. I'll come.”

Karan nodded and left.

The meeting was about Shukla Enterprises' new film — Teri Dulhania.

Siddharth entered the meeting room wearing a black CEO suit and took his seat.

The producer was already there with the film details.

The meeting began.

The producer started explaining the progress of the movie.

“Sir, Riya ma'am is doing a very good job. Everyone is happy with her performance.”

Siddharth listened quietly.

The producer continued,

“And for her side role, we have selected a new girl.”

Siddharth looked at him.

“A new girl?”

“Yes, sir.”

The producer looked at the file in front of him.

“Her name is Shehnaaz Gill.”

Siddharth heard the name.

For a moment, he simply looked at the producer.

Then he gave a small nod.

“Nice.”

And the meeting continued.

He didn't know anything about the girl behind that name.

He didn't know about her struggles.

He didn't know that she had come from a small village with a dream in her heart.

He didn't know how badly she wanted to become an actress.

And Sana didn't know anything about him either.

She didn't even know that the CEO of the company producing her film had just heard her name for the first time.

---

Back on the set, Sana was trying her best.

The camera was ready.

The lights were on.

Everyone was waiting for her.

“Action!”

Sana started acting.

But something went wrong.

“Cut!”

The producer looked irritated.

“Sana, you're not doing it properly.”

Sana immediately apologized.

“Sorry.”

“Again.”

She tried again.

But once again—

“Cut!”

“Sana, do it properly.”

She nodded.

“Yes.”

Again, she tried.

The producer continued correcting her.

“Sana, your expression is wrong.”

“Sana, you're not giving the emotion properly.”

“Again.”

Sana's confidence slowly started breaking.

But she continued.

She kept trying.

Take after take.

Mistake after mistake.

She was clearly struggling.

She could feel people watching her.

Some people on the set started laughing.

Even Riya, standing at the side, looked at Sana and smiled as if she found her struggle amusing.

Sana noticed it.

It hurt.

But she said nothing.

She simply looked at her script again.

Her eyes became slightly wet.

She wanted to cry.

She wanted to run away.

But she didn't.

She took a deep breath and went back for another take.

The producer called again,

“Sana! Ready?”

She nodded.

“Yes.”

The camera started rolling.

This time she tried harder than before.

She still wasn't perfect.

She still had mistakes.

But she kept going.

Because somewhere inside her heart, that same dream was still alive.

One day, I will become a big actress.

One day, people will know my name.

One day, I won't be standing on the side.

She wiped her tears and looked toward the set.

Shehnaaz Gill was still struggling.

But she hadn't given up.

And somewhere across the city, Siddharth Shukla was busy running his company, completely unaware that the name he had casually heard in a meeting would soon become an important part of his life.

Two people.

Two completely different worlds.

And a story that had only just begun.
