Chapter 2 — The First Glimpse

After a long and tiring day at work, Siddharth Shukla finally returned home.

His house was not an ordinary house. It was a huge, beautiful mansion that looked almost like a palace. The grand entrance, beautiful interiors and massive rooms reflected the life of a successful man like Siddharth.

Siddharth had no parents. He lived in that enormous mansion only with his grandmother.

As soon as he entered the house, his grandmother looked at him and smiled.

“Siddharth, tum ghar aa gaye?”

Siddharth looked at her.

“Ji, aa gaya. Kya baat hai? Aapki tabiyat theek hai?”

His grandmother smiled.

“Haan, main bilkul theek hoon.”

Siddharth sat down beside her.

His grandmother looked at him for a moment and then said,

“Tumhare liye ek rishta aaya hai. Ladki bahut sundar hai.”

Siddharth immediately understood where the conversation was going.

He sighed.

“Dadi, maine kitni baar bola hai... mujhe abhi shaadi nahi karni.”

His grandmother looked at him seriously.

“Lekin kyun nahi karni? Tumhari umar ho chuki hai.”

Siddharth remained calm.

“Main tabhi shaadi karunga jab mujhe lagega ki mujhe shaadi kar leni chahiye.”

His grandmother became annoyed.

“Theek hai! Tumhe jo karna hai karo. Main nahi jaanti.”

She got up and walked away.

Siddharth remained sitting there silently.

He knew his grandmother only wanted the best for him, but marriage was something he had never wanted to rush into.

After sitting there for a while, Siddharth finally got up and went to his room.

Meanwhile, in Siddharth's Room

Siddharth changed and sat down with his laptop.

He still had some office work to finish.

While working, he received a file from Karan, his P.A.

It contained the details of all the actors and actresses working in Teri Dulhania.

Siddharth opened the file.

Names and photographs appeared one after another.

He casually went through them.

Then his eyes stopped at one photograph.

Shehnaaz Gill.

Siddharth looked at the picture for a moment.

He remembered the name from the meeting.

“Shehnaaz...?”

He leaned slightly closer to the screen.

“Okay.”

He continued looking through the file.

After a moment, he picked up his phone and called Karan.

“Karan.”

“Yes, sir?”

“Tomorrow we'll go to the set.”

Karan was slightly surprised.

“Tomorrow, sir?”

“Yes. I want to see how the shooting is going.”

Karan checked the schedule.

“Okay, sir. We'll leave tomorrow at 4 PM. The shooting is at night, and the next scene is being shot in the forest.”

Siddharth nodded.

“Fine.”

“Okay, sir.”

The call ended.

Siddharth looked once more at the file on his laptop.

For some reason, the face of Shehnaaz Gill stayed in his mind for a few seconds.

But he didn't think much about it.

He closed the laptop.

He had no idea that the next evening would be the first time he would actually see her.

Meanwhile, Somewhere Else...

Sana was in her room.

She had changed into her nightdress and was lying comfortably on her bed, scrolling through her phone.

A funny reel appeared on her screen.

She burst out laughing.

“Wow! How funny!”

She watched it again and laughed.

After a while, she suddenly remembered something.

She knew that her movie was being made under Shukla Enterprises, but she had never really thought about who owned the company.

She frowned.

“Actually... who is the owner?”

She opened the search bar on her phone.

She was just about to search for it when her phone suddenly started ringing.

It was her best friend, Neela.

Sana smiled immediately and answered the call.

“Hello!”

Neela said something that made Sana laugh.

Within seconds, the two best friends were talking and laughing about completely random things.

The search about Shukla Enterprises was forgotten.

Sana had no idea that the very next day, she would finally come face-to-face with the man who owned it.

And that man had already seen her photograph.

Siddharth Shukla.

Shehnaaz Gill.

They were still strangers.

But tomorrow, their worlds were going to meet.
